NOC: Kida, Olumide’s victory excites Col Ahmedu, says it is a plus for Nigeria basketball

President of FIBA Africa Zone 3, Col. Sam Ahmedu (Retd) is on cloud nine over the electoral victory of the basketball duo of Olumide Oyedeji and Musa Kida in the recently held NOC election.
It would be noted that while Oyedeji emerged as one of the Vice Presidents of the Olympic body, Kida got elected as Treasurer.
Speaking on the outcome of the polls that was conducted in Jalingo, Taraba State, Col Ahmedu said it is a big plus for the nation’s basketball.
“I m happy two members of the basketball family went to Jalingo, saw and conquered. It is a big plus for our basketball,” Ahmedu said.
Ahmedu who is also a board member of NBBF charged the duo to give the nation quality representation, pointing out that for Nigeria’s sports to make any progress, the Olympic body must function properly.
Ahmedu charged the nation’s sports administrators to put the country first, even as he sued for peace declaring that Nigeria can not achieve much if stakeholders are not on the same page.
